状態の良いオリジナルのLPレコードは，なかなか入手困難．“King 691” と ”King 739” のジャケットは経年変化による変色と傷み，レコード盤は表面に擦れがありますが，大きなノイズや針飛びはなく，まあまあ良く聴けます．”King 767” と “King 802” は，ジャケット，レコード盤ともに良好なコンディション．

ところで，"Little Willie John" のライブの映像や音源があるかYouTubeで探してみたのですが，米国テレビシリーズ ”Route 66”（1962年）でクラベスを打つ数秒のシーンがアップロードされているのを見つけました．チャンネル作成者のコメントを見ると，"Little Willie John" の唯一のライブ映像であるとコメントしています．なぜこの映像しか残されていないのか分かりませんが，彼が1966年にシアトルのショーの後に起こした事件に関係しているのかもしれませんね．

"Little Willie John" の代表曲 "Fever" は，日本のウェブサイトでは女性ジャズシンガー "Peggy Lee" のカバーバージョンのほうが数多く紹介されていて，日本での知名度の低さはおして知るべしです．そんな状況はさておき，"Little Willie John" は，1955年から1963年にかけて "King Records" に多くの作品を残し，ヒット曲を送り出しました．かすれ気味の声をふり絞って歌うソウルフルでブルージーなボーカルが特徴．個人的には，後期のバラード作品 "You Hurt Me"，"Without A Friend"，"Now You Know" あたりはヒット曲ではありませんが，情感のある秀逸な作品でとても好きです．
